Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Café Purla works without registration, without an email address, and without a password. You open the app and you are there.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone. There is no server anything gets uploaded to, and no advertising IDs. This is about the app itself, not the website, since the website uses analytics after consent. What you let go of at the window is never stored in the first place.
How do I export or delete my data?
In the app under Settings you find both: an export of your entries as a file, and a full delete. If you remove the app from your device, the data goes with it.
Can I get a refund for the regulars card?
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. You request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no access to that process, but we are happy to help with questions about it.
What does the regulars card include?
It unlocks extra features and looks: a cat, sounds, decor, seasons, and a yearly recap. It costs 5.99 USD a month or 39.99 USD a year, with the annual plan offering seven days to try it out. Without the card, the café stays usable, and the download itself is free.
How do I turn reminders off?
In the app under Settings. If you want to remove them entirely, you can also turn them off in your iPhone Settings under Notifications for Café Purla.
I found a bug or have a wish.
Both are welcome. Write to info@cafepurla.app. Café Purla is built by a very small team, and your message lands right where decisions get made.
Need more than an app right now?
Café Purla is a self-help app and not psychotherapy, a diagnosis, or medical treatment. It makes no promises of healing.
